People love to ask where Chris and I are going for our honeymoon... and I haven't been able to tell them. We were putting off making a decision until the date was announced for his engineer's test (he's a firefighter for those of you who aren't in the know). We didn't want to make plans and then have the test be the week after the wedding.
They have now announced it.
May 19th.
Ugh...
But at least it is before the wedding... that's better than right after I think.
So now we can figure out where to go.
But we've spent all our money on the wedding.
Double ugh.
And Chris doesn't have a passport.
Triple ugh.
But I discovered this place. There was an article in a work related magazine and I fell in love with the wildlife photos. I think we may end up heading somewhere in Cali... and then spending a day or two on the islands. You can't stay on them unless you get a permit and camp. Neither of us are much for camping. But you can take a boat over and spend the day. There are no homes, no restaurants, no hotels... nothing but pure beauty.
It's not for sure and I've got to do more research but it's definitely an idea... and one that we seem to agree on so far. My London idea and my NYC idea got poo-poo'ed a long time ago...
Keep your fingers crossed for me!

That looks pretty. I went to CA for my honeymoon. I had never been before so it was pretty exciting :)
The place in CA does look amazing. Chris does need to get a passport, though, for future jaunts to London and ...wherever.
I'm not familiar with the Channel Islands - they look beautiful.
It's funny you mentioned Cali since Dick and I are headed to San Francisco this weekend. We'll be there for a week. I'll have to let you know what we think!
We went to NYC for our quasi-honeymoon since we didn't want to be away too long since we were busy at work and for us, it's easy to get to NYC - we're only 250 miles away - if that.
Definitely fill me in on San Fran! I looked into going there and then making the trip down to the boat to go to the Channel Islands. It's a 6 hour drive though so I'm not sure about that yet...
I'll get to NYC eventually. I really want to see it!
San Fran is awesome - Elsa, you should try Mama's on Washington Square for brunch - and Greens is one of the best vegetarian restaurants ever.
Tracy - I'll definitely let you know on San Fran.
Bearette - Thanks for the info on Mama's! I just checked it out and it's only about a mile from where we're staying - I'm definitely checking it out! Looks great!
