So if I were to start a pet photography side business...
I was trying to think of names.
What do you think of Fotogirlie Fotographie?
I made note that the domain name was still out there available...
Or should it have "pet" in it somewhere?
Hmmm...
just thoughts.

Petography?
Fotogirlie's Furry Fotographie?
Fotogirlie Furry Fun Fotographie?
Fotogirlie Furry Friends Fotographie?
Hee! Fs everywhere!
I think something about pets or animals should be in there somewhere, but I don't have any good suggestions at the moment. I need to think on it. :)
I think that if the business will be strictly pets, then there should be something about that in the name. I like Kitkat's "Furry Friends Fotographie" (I like it without the Fotogirlie - just because it would be so long).
Maybe Furry Friends Photography?
I like Petography, too.
I'm thinking that if I stick to Fotogirlie Fotographie, I can then manipulate things like my business cards or my website to do more than pet photography if I ever want to do so.
For example, I asked my talented fiance to draw a caricature of me with a bunch of different animals. I'm thinking it would be great for the pet end of things. But if I ever wanted to do abstract photography or people pictures, then I could change my business card a bit (maybe have more than one) and add links to my webpage without needing to come up with a whole new name...
Who knows if this will ever come to fruition. I have lots of encouraging people though so I'm hoping that after the wedding I'll have more time to pursue it. I need to do a lot of research into starting my own business. At least I got my MBA from UNF so I can utilize their small business center for free!
Fotogirlie Fotographie is cute, but I would recommend either have your name in the biz name or something pet related. But like you said, if you ever want to expand beyond pet's it might be better to go with your name. One thing I recommend though is go with a niche, whatever you shoot. It's easy to be good at a lot of things, but that prevents you from being great at one thing.
