I started a post on

3/11.

That was two weeks ago today.

Oops... I saved it and never went back to finish it. However, it wasn't very exciting anyway.

Here it is:

Title: Do the bustle...

Ha ha...
I hope the song is stuck in your head too.
I took my wedding dress in for alterations last week. I know they can be mega expensive but I truly lucked out. My dress fits perfectly... as long as I'm wearing my 3 1/2 inch heels!

Yup, that's right. That's all I wrote.
But, just so you know, I only spent $37 on my "alterations" because all they are doing (if you noticed the title) is the bustle. Woohoo!

I can't believe the wedding is only two months away. Well, two months and a little less than a week. Ack! I still have so much to do!! And I've been slacking off lately.

It's not completely my fault. I was in Atlanta for three days last week for work. But while I was there I got a new pair of shoes and a matching clutch to wear with the cute pink dress I recently got. I'm either going to wear the dress to my friend Jeremy's wedding earlier in May or to my own dress rehearsal. I'm leaning towards the latter.
But I need to get my butt in gear because it will be here before I know it. Cliche but true.
Plus I'm dogsitting for the last week of April and then I'm in West Virginia for work the first week of May...

Ugh! Anyone want to come help me with my centerpieces??

Every time I read or hear about all the hassle other people put into their weddings, it always makes me so glad that I didn't have to do any of that for mine. lol

I'm sure you'll get it all done! :)

I think my centerpieces were yellow roses. They were beautiful.

HS - If I had known what a pain it would be and how much stress it would add to my life... plus how much money it would cost... I would have eloped, had a cool honeymoon, and put the rest to a house...
Ah well... hindsight.

B - I'm doing potted plants for my centerpieces. I already have the pots but I'm waiting to put in plants until a few weeks before the wedding. There will be three or four plants in each pot... and I need to figure out which ones will do well together. I also got tealight candle holders with stakes to put in the plants and different shades of green candles...
The environmentalist in me didn't want to kill any more flowers... bad enough that I'm using them for my bouquets...
However, I'm sure your yellow roses were quite beautiful! I've seen lots of flowery centerpieces and they always look nice!

Great deal on the alterations! I think I spent $200! Alot of cutting of the bottom :)

Good luck with the centerpieces. We had a Boston florist do them for us - delivered and everything. It took a lot of the work out of it...other than the ordering! :) And we got lots of compliments on the flowers.

E - yeah, if I had needed it shortened it would have cost and arm and a leg because of the layers. That's all I can say about what it looks like for fear that Chris will wander onto my blog. He knows it's here and he reads it rarely but it means I can't post the photo I have of the dress from when I tried it on...
